Information
Seattle, WA Website
Seattle Metro is a diverse,
exciting city of some 550,000 residents
who
live
in
a
wide
variety of communities, each
with its own personality and blend of cultures. The Metro area is perhaps most
recognized as the home to the Seattle Center,
a 74-acre civic complex that serves as the region's center for cultural, educational
and recreational entertainment. Seattle
Center houses museums, theaters, arts centers and galleries, tourist attractions,
an amphitheater, plus an amusement park and
the 605-foot Space Needle. The Metro area is home to communities such as Capitol
Hill, Queen Anne Hill, Fremont, Lake Union
and Wallingford. Located in Seattle's Capital Hill District, Broadway is a unique
neighborhood that stretches ten-blocks and
is lined with a wide variety of restaurants and shops. First Hill is Seattle's
first neighborhood and is home to some of
Seattle's best-known millionaires and philanthropists. Residents of these areas
have a wide assortment of housing types and
prices to choose from including single-family homes, condominiums and townhouses.
The houses are a mix of the distinctive
bungalows built around the turn of the century to modern hill-hugging glass-fronted
houses. Prices start in the mid-$100,000s
and run to $1 million and more.
