North Seattle, Washington. North Seattle is an area roughly
defined
as
communities north of the Seattle Center and includes more than a dozen communities
located
between Lake Washington and the Puget Sound. Cities in the area include Ravenna,
Roosevelt, Bryant, Wedgewood and Maple Leaf. North Seattle is an area that has
seen tremendous growth over the past decade. Residents of the
area enjoy the peace and quiet of the many residential communities, yet are only
a short drive from Metro Seattle. North
Seattle offers a mix of historic communities and new developments. The housing
market is as diverse as any in the country.
Homebuyers can choose between everything from turn-of-the-century bungalows to
modern hill-hugging glass-fronted houses.
Prices run from the mid-$250,000s to several million dollars depending on location.
The area offers spectacular views of
Puget Sound, Lake Washington, downtown Seattle and the snow-capped peaks of the
Olympic Mountains. North Seattle is home to
the University of Washington, located just minutes from downtown.
